Cannot activate a license TelnetCE via Licence Server

Hello, I try to activate a license TelnetCE on Motoral device via Lisence Server.

My steps:

 

1. I installed Licence Server on computer and then I added licences.

2. I installed a client on Motorola device with license server settings as :146.212.32.15:1820

 

3. When I launch a terminal, it stucks in atteption to connect server.

The version 7.3 matched for both: server lisence and version of client.

 

In log file I see connection log:

It means, the terminal can connect to server.

What does unlicensed devices mean? Those devices can not get a license.

Alternate Browser Configuration in Wavelink

We use ITSMobile SAP and  have an problem  when we activate in Wavelink TE v7.3.234 the alternate Browser in Emulation (WEB - alternate Browser / WEB - User Agent)

Model: Intermec CK3X

 

When we press Connect Session and disconnect and after  reconnect it says: Internet Explorer cannot download lm00.

We need to restart the Browser to Connect Session - Why?

Wavelink TelnetCE 73197 Display Language - UTF8

I have Motorola MC3190 and TelnetCE 73197. I need select UTF8 in "Display Language". It is demand for correct display Russian language in the programm. I do not see UTF8 in list "Display Language".

How i do it?

I am trying to find a way to change the color of the telnet window title bar. I want to have 5 distinct colors to designate which area a MC9090 unit belongs.

I am trying to find a way to change the color of the telnet window title bar.  I want to have 5 distinct colors to designate which area a MC9090 unit belongs.

I can change the color of the background but the session text becomes difficult to read with some colors.  I can change the color of the cursor but I would like it to stand out a little more.

We are using 7.0.1.33 telnet client on MC9090 and MC9190 units

Hi,

 

I'm setting up Wavelink Industrial Browser 7.3 on 3 devices type :

     - Zebra MC32N0 CE7

     - Zebra MC3190 CE6

     - Zebra MC3090 CE5

 

I'd like to setup 2 keys on the key board to use Navigator functions:

    - Red key --> Reload

    - Ctrl + Red key --> Home

 

Is there a way to do so ?

MC92N0 - TE 7.3.247, Cursor missing in VT220 Session

Hi,

 

I have a strange issue where the cursor does not show on the screen only when TE client is connected to the host session.

 

When on the "[enter] to connect screen", the cursor is visible (blinking block).  I can change the colour to RED.  But this cursor then disappears when connected to the host (SAP) session.

 

When using a totally different device with another Telnet client connected to the same host, the cursor is visible.

The cursor is visible when replaying the captured session using PC TE client.

 

Cursor settings are default values from TE 7.3.247 for the MC92N0 CE7 device.

 

Has anyone come across this before?

How to bring up a keyboard on a keyboard-less device

Hello,

is there any way how to have a "button" in Wavelink TE for Android or any other thing that would show the SIP keyboard on user's request on a touch-only device?

I have disabled the automatic keyboard popup in Emulation Parametres - Screen - Keyboard Startup, but now I'm stuck without a keyboard at all times

I'm using Zebra TC8000.

 

I need to be able to bring up the keyboard on user's request, since they may need to enter some data manually from time to time.

Unable to connect via telnet VT220 to host using WavelinkTE and Velocity on MC92N0 with Android

When trying to connect to an host the application stops and presents in dialog box error: Unfortunately, Terminal Emulation has stopped. In Velocity i get exactly the same, only shows: Unfortunately, Velocity has stopped.

I am able to connect using TN3270 or TN5250 emulation to an other host.

Only alternative telnet emulator that works is Glink (competitor's product)

 

But my warehouse WMS is the host i need to connect to.

This has never been an problem before on WindowsCE devices in MC9xxxx series of Symbol (later Motorola, now Zebra) with Wavelink software for over 20 years now.

Since Windows is or will go end of life for these type of devices, i need an working solution on Android based scanners.

 

Tested on MC92N0 (Kitkat 4.4.4) and also on an demo Zebra TC8000 (Kitkat 4.4.3) provided by my supplier but got exact same result/error.

I already made an support ticket here with Ivanti, and with Zebra support, without any succes to date.

Who knows maybe here reads this, and has the same problem, and even better, someone who has an solution or at least suggestions.

 

I've used:

 

WavelinkTE v2.0.18.4977 (newest to date)

Velocity 1.0 / 1.2 / 2.0 ( 2.0 is newest to date)

Datalogic Skorpio X4 Wavelink TE v7.3.299 installation program or new TE?

Waiting for newer version of the Wavelink Telnet CE for Datalogic X4 CE7 Devices (now only v7.3.308) , I noticed that the v7.3.299 is already installed on the X4. Is there any possibility to find somewhere the installation program of this version?

 

 

As with the Datalogic Skorpio X3 the newer v7.3.302 had problems at usage of Function keys but installing the older v7.3.299  the problem was fixed automatically , the same i believe for all problems I have with the Wavelink TE at Skorpio X4 . I think there are some problems with the only version, which displays the letters in wrong way at menus and makes different the display for some of the screens at client's menu. Unfortunately ,there is no other version in case for me to check and use at Skorpio X4 .

Telnet emulator session block

Hello,

 

Our warehouse logistics are handled through an internal ERP application ensuring a proper flow of the reception and distribution of auto parts.

For this purpose we use around 110 mobile terminals with barcode scanners (RF Guns) of which 50 are deployed in the central warehouse.

 

The models used are:

Motorola MC2100

Datalogic Falcon X3

Datalogic Skorpio

 

In the central warehouse we are currently using 50 Motorola MC2100 scanners with Windows CE 6.0 operating system. As an emulator we are using Wavelink Corporation’s Telnet version 7.3.63 for Motorola MC2100 terminals.

Lately, the following problem began to manifest itself:

On a daily basis every Motorola MC2100 device suffers one or more unexplainable telnet session blocks.

When this happens, the terminal cannot interact with the application any more, the keyboard stops working and after a few minutes the display shows the "disconnected session" message. The terminal’s log doesn’t record any loss of connection to the access point.

The Access Points are all newly acquired from Motorola in order to ensure maximum compatibility between them and the mobile terminals.

 

Our question is:

To what extent the Telnet emulator may influence these session blocks, taking into account the following:

1. Telnet version

2. Certain parameters of the telnet configuration

3. “Avalanche Enable” configuration – we are using the Avalanche platform version 5.3.0.572 to manage our terminals

4. Having a large number of sessions (high load) on an Access Point.

 

Can you please help us with any idea in tackling this problem? Is there a log monitoring tool that can help us to identify the cause of these problems?

The situation is very critical and this seriously influences the process of delivery and reception of goods.

How to replace TelnetCE version on MC9190 device

I have a MC9190 device in which the wrong version of TelnetCE is installed. How do I update the TelnetCE version on the device?

 

I have tried to delete the Application/TE folder, but when the device is cold booted the folder re-appears.

License "Disappeared" when we changed Wireless Access Points. When you put new license in it says "Your authorization expired"

We changed wireless access points in our facility yesterday and for some reason, some but not all of our Motorola / Symbol MC55 that use TelnetCE 7.3 lost their licenses.  They had been working just find for the previous 4 years,  When I tried to put in the license information, the expiration date is "1010500" on the license, into the TelnetCE client it returns the error: Your authorization expired on 10/10/25   not sure what is causing this, they were all purchased about the same time and all the licenses we purchased one by one from 2012 - 2014.  Hoping someone has an idea.

Access to printer on Avery Pathfinder 6057

Hello,

we are currently testing Wavelink TE on an Avery Pathfinder 6057 and experiencing an issue while printing through ANSI codes.

The print job get sent to the terminal and a black box "Printing" appears; however no output goes to the printer.

The printer is defined as "PATHFINDER" connected to port COM1: but I don't know if this setting is correct; however the same file when sent via FTP to a specific folder on the device gets printed.

Is there a way to have Wavelink write the print data received to a folder rather than send it to a COM port?
