Scan Handler (Enter after barcode scan) not working

Hello,

 

I'm having problems with a Motorla scanner and Wavelink.

Everything (i need) that is configured in Emulation Parameters works, but the only thing that does not work is a "return" on barcode scan (Scan Handler).

My Wavelink version is TelnetCE 7.2.00 and i have a licence for VTHP.

I have also tried to use A(0)[A\\0D] but that does not work either.

Is this a Wavelink version problem? Or am i doing something else wrong?

I have re-installed the Wavelink software on the Scanner, but that didn't help either.

 

Does anyone have any idea that i'm doing wrong?

 

The scanner is a Motorola MC9090 with WIndows Mobile 5.1

I want to scan a GM 2D PDF417 barcode. It has hexidecimal control characters in it. Scanner returns "Invalid Character(s)". How can I work around this?

In MC32N0 CE7.0,Enter,Backspace & Tab keys are not working as expected.

In MC32N0 CE7.0,Enter,Backspace & Tab keys are not working as expected.

 

Backspace: It moves only cursor, not deleting any character.

Tab: Not going to the next field.

Enter: Not confirm selection, it only change field.

Problem with the deinstallation of the Wavelink TelnetCE 7378 application

I am currently about to deinstall / install the Wavelink TelnetCE 7378 application on our Motorola MC9100 device. In order to achieve this, I have already tried the following measures without any success:

 

(1)      Deinstallation via the Motorola Wavelink Application (Application & Config):

 

After having executed the deinstallation process I get the following error message despite the fact, that the application is already installed on the device:

 

"Update failed. Unable to determine install directory. Please verify that the product is installed on the device."

 

(2)     Deinstallation via the remove programs menu on the scanner

 

It is written on the screen: "Programs in storage memory: Wavelink TelnetCE 7378". I mark the entry. Afterwards I click on "remove". After having clicked on "remove" the following error appears:

 

"Wavelink TelnetCE 7378 was not completely removed. Do you want to remove it from the list of installed programs?" Then I click on "yes" but nothing happens.

 

(3)      Reinstallation of the client via the "Application & Config" button on the application:

 

The reinstallation process starts. However I get the following error messages on the screen:

 

"The previous version of Wavelink TelnetCE 7378 will be removed before the new one is installed. Select OK to continue or cancel to quit". I click on "OK". After three seconds the following error message appears:

 

"The previous version of Wavelink TelnetCE 7378 cannot be removed. Do you want to continue installing Wavelink TelnetCE 7378?" Here I click on yes. Then the following message appears:

 

"Installation of Wavelink TelnetCE 7378.cab was unsuccessful."

 

(4)      Restarting of the Scanner and the following of the reinstallation / deinstallation measures (Bullet points 1 - 3) as described above after the scanners’ reboot was also not successful

 

(5)      The deinstallation of the Wavelink Application and the following of the reinstallation / deinstallation measures (Bullet points 1 - 3) as described above after the scanners’ reboot was also not successful

 

 

So I have now tried five possibilities to solve the problem. Do you have any other hints regarding the solution of this issue?

The parameter "/profile host-profile", launching TelnetCE.exe with multiple hosts defined, seems does not work on Motorola MC9190

We used, in the past, the parameter "/profile host-profile" to launch TelnetCE.exe with a specific host profile from multiple host profiles defined.

With TelnetCE.exe 7.3.146, TelnetCE.exe starts, but if we press "Enter To Connect", the complete list of host profile is presented.

how to prevent select a host popup

On the Intermec CK71 devices a popup with the title "Select a Host" comes up periodically whenever a session has ended. The host profile is set to auto-launch, and the session is set to reconnect in the emulation settings; however it still popups and requests the user select a host profile. Can this be automated?

Outside of using TermProxy/Connect pro for session persistence, what are the recommended best practice TE settings for accommodating poor network connectivity?

 

Does the "Detect Out-Of-Range" properly suspend telnet transactions until the network signal is returned? Are their any other suggestions for a VT session?

Hello,

 

Our warehouse logistics are handled through an internal ERP application ensuring a proper flow of the reception and distribution of auto parts.

For this purpose we use around 110 mobile terminals with barcode scanners (RF Guns) of which 50 are deployed in the central warehouse.

 

The models used are:

Motorola MC2100

Datalogic Falcon X3

Datalogic Skorpio

 

In the central warehouse we are currently using 50 Motorola MC2100 scanners with Windows CE 6.0 operating system. As an emulator we are using Wavelink Corporation’s Telnet version 7.3.63 for Motorola MC2100 terminals.

Lately, the following problem began to manifest itself:

On a daily basis every Motorola MC2100 device suffers one or more unexplainable telnet session blocks.

When this happens, the terminal cannot interact with the application any more, the keyboard stops working and after a few minutes the display shows the "disconnected session" message. The terminal’s log doesn’t record any loss of connection to the access point.

The Access Points are all newly acquired from Motorola in order to ensure maximum compatibility between them and the mobile terminals.

 

Our question is:

To what extent the Telnet emulator may influence these session blocks, taking into account the following:

1. Telnet version

2. Certain parameters of the telnet configuration

3. “Avalanche Enable” configuration – we are using the Avalanche platform version 5.3.0.572 to manage our terminals

4. Having a large number of sessions (high load) on an Access Point.

 

Can you please help us with any idea in tackling this problem? Is there a log monitoring tool that can help us to identify the cause of these problems?

The situation is very critical and this seriously influences the process of delivery and reception of goods.

WIB (Wavelink Industrial Browser) Scanner fails on page refresh

After refreshing the web page on an Intermec CK3X, the scanner fails to type the barcode.  The scanner turns on, and it beeps while scanning the barcode.  Though, nothing is typed into the input field of the web page.  Once the handheld is rebooted, the scanner works fine until the page is refreshed again.

I need to capure it only like this ;;A

I need to capure it only like this ;;A

 

So looks like it needs to insert this ;; just before the A

 

Again: at the end I need to have this result  ;;A

 

Any help will be very appreciate.

Hi I am using below configuration and RF guns

Model, P/N:       MC9200

Wave link version: MOT_MC92_N0_WM65 Telnet CE (WM6.5)  (I tried with 7.0 but not able to host it on RF gun Due to compatibility issue let me know if I need to use any other)

Brief Description:  

  We are trying to use these guns in integration with SAP server.We have published services (address: in screen shot) for SAP transaction which are going to access from RF guns.

 

  • Need to know the exact information about license we will required.
  • Which License from wave link ?
  • Do we need to have Avalanche or Telnet will suffice our need.
  • What is OEM license we need it ?
  • How to procure them?
  • where and how install them?

Cannot activate a license TelnetCE via Licence Server

Hello, I try to activate a license TelnetCE on Motoral device via Lisence Server.

My steps:

 

1. I installed Licence Server on computer and then I added licences.

2. I installed a client on Motorola device with license server settings as :146.212.32.15:1820

 

3. When I launch a terminal, it stucks in atteption to connect server.

The version 7.3 matched for both: server lisence and version of client.

 

In log file I see connection log:

What does unlicensed devices mean? Those devices can not get a license.

The taskbar is not visible in TelnetCE, even though I'm not hiding anything in the options tab. How can I get it back, so I cen get into the config menus

I'm using TelnetCE 7.3 with app center.  When I go into TelnetCE, I lose the taskbar which contained the config menus.

So I can't change config or even exit the program.  I'm force to cold boot to exit TelnetCE.  I'm do not have any

options in the 'options' tab checked, so nothing should be hidden.  How can I get it back?
